How It All Started
SEEN was born from something we saw too often on the streets of South Africa: women standing by the roadside, holding handwritten signs, offering their services just to survive the day.
It wasn’t right. It wasn’t safe. And it wasn’t good enough for a country as rich in talent as South Africa.
As two South African women ourselves, we were both concerned with seeing this cycle repeat and grow. So we decided to do something about it. We imagined a platform that would connect women to real work, safely and professionally. A space where a woman’s effort and skill could be recognised, protected and paid for without risking her safety or dignity.

We link trained women to paid work through SEEN’s this service platform by offering once-off help, long-term placements and full project staffing.
